Lorin Grimsley, RN, LDN, CDCES
Lorin is our perinatal nutritionist with a primary focus of diabetes education. She sees patients with gestational diabetes, PCOS, Post Gastric Bypass, and Type 1/Type 2 diabetes who are pregnant or wanting to become pregnant. Lorin also counsels our patients expecting multiples to ensure adequate calorie and nutrient intake for healthy babies.
Lorin received her Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology from the University of Tennessee. Then she completed a Dietetic Internship at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals in Richmond, Virginia. In 2005, she became certified as a Diabetes Educator. During her career as a dietitian, she has worked in many aspects of nutrition including wellness, cardiac, GI, post-tauma, research, diabetes and pregnancy, and insulin pump therapy.
Lorin is currently a member of Smokey Mountain Association for Diabetes Educators, American Association of Diabetes Educators and is active as a preceptor for The University of Tennessee’s Dietetic Internship program.
