Detox program for pregnant women offered at UT Medical Center

The number of babies born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) has dropped 18% in Knox County & 12% overall in East Tennessee

For the first time since 2013, Knoxville has seen a drop in the number of babies born drug dependent. The state credits the work done by Dr. Towers for the shift in treatment options for mothers battling addiction in pregnancy.
